Phil is a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Neural Circuits and Algorithms group in the Center for Computational Neuroscience. His work focuses on using ideas from dynamical systems and control theory to model chemotaxis behavior. Before coming to Flatiron, Phil was a postdoc in Cori Bargmann’s group at The Rockefeller University, performing experiments on chemotaxis in nematodes. He did his Ph.D. in Physics at Cornell working on the dynamics of circadian rhythms in fruit flies.
